Andrew McCasker

Andrew McCasker has over 30 years of experience delivering successful, enterprise-class, commercial software for businesses as varied as restaurants, educational institutions, federal, state and local governments, healthcare, and Fortune 100 Enterprise IT Departments. He has held positions as CTO, VP of Engineering and VP of Professional Services, with responsibility for the design and delivery of on-premise and web-based SaaS applications utilizing a variety of architectures. In addition, he has deep expertise managing IT operations in support of SaaS applications.

Andrew has led development at several software companies, including Fishbowl, Maximus, Spectrum K12, B2eMarkets, and Landmark Systems. His most recent experience involved delivery of web-based products based on Microsoft .NET and Java/J2EE, incorporating open source technologies, such as Linux, MySQL, Adobe Flex and Ruby on Rails.

In addition to serving as lead architect for several products, Andrew has developed a best practices framework for delivering and managing SaaS applications and IT operations. He has extensive experience in capacity planning and performance management which are an integrated component of the SaaS framework.

Andrew has successfully implemented iterative development methodologies, including Agile Scrum in two different companies, pioneering a distributed variant of Agile Scrum for geographically dispersed teams.

Andrew has conducted, led, and participated in numerous technology due diligence engagements for Do Diligence Partners over the past seven years, focusing on each of the key areas DDP evaluates: software architecture, design, and implementation, engineering team and practices, and SaaS IT infrastructure and operations.
